What is dcuisine?
It's a philosophy: eating beautifully, every day, shouldn't be hard. Our founders Sam Metzger and Certified Master Chef Ken Arnone know you're passionate about sitting down to a well-crafted meal, but don't always have the time for the shopping, prepping, cooking, and clean up that makes it a reality. We deliver single-serving soups and entrées to you flash-frozen, so you can serve seasonally-prepared, real food at your table when it suits you.
What is unique about dcuisine?
Chef Arnone has tailored a menu that could go head to head with some of the finest restaurants in America and we've packaged it in a way that makes preparation a breeze. Our meals are prepared by hand in small batches to ensure the highest quality in our state-of-the-art kitchen in Los Angeles. Our meals use only the finest natural ingredients: unbleached flour, cage-free eggs, hormone and antibiotic-free hand-trimmed meats, wild-caught seafood, and stellar California produce.
How do I order?
Your a la carte home dining experience begins with the click of a button. Simply make selections from our menu and we will deliver the meals to your door next week via UPS.
How many servings come in each package?
Each meal serves one to two, so there's no waste. You can easily expand your order to more servings as needed for a family gathering or special occasion. To serve a dinner for two, try a sharing one soup and one entrée.
How are the meals delivered?
Meals are delivered frozen by UPS. They are packed in dry ice to ensure that they remain frozen during transit.
When will my meals arrive?
We ship once a week, on Mondays. The deadline for the weekly shipment is Sunday night at midnight Eastern Time. Orders received after the deadline will be shipped the following Monday. On weeks with a holiday Monday, we ship on Tuesday. All orders are shipped by UPS and will arrive in one to three days, depending on where the order is sent. The table below, shows typical arrival days. We will email you a UPS tracking number when your order is ready to ship – looking up the tracking number on UPS.com will give you the exact arrival date.

How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is charged based on the number of items ordered. All orders ship for a flat rate of $18 for the first 12 items and $15 for each additional 12 items.
What do I do with the dry ice?
Leave the dry ice in the box where it will disappear on its own. Dry ice is so cold that it can cause frostbite on contact. Do not touch dry ice and keep dry ice away from children and pets. Once the dry ice has disappeared, you can safely dispose of the box and insulation.
How do I prepare the meals?
Meals are delivered fully cooked so they only need to be reheated. There are two ways to prepare most dcuisine meals:
Frozen option: Place the frozen pouch in a pot of simmering water for 15 to 28 minutes, depending on the menu item, then empty the pouch contents into a bowl or plate. This simple and elegant heating technique, similar to sous vide cooking, locks moisture and flavor into your meal.
Thawed option: Thaw the pouch overnight in the refrigerator, then empty the contents into a pan or saucepan, reheat, and serve.
Our Chicken Pot Pie, Beef Lasagna, and Mac & Cheese should be reheated in an oven. Our smoked salmon simply needs to be thawed in the refrigerator before serving.
Detailed instructions are printed on each package.
Wait! I should heat the meals in a plastic pouch?
That's right! Our boilable meal pouches are USDA certified and do not contain any BPA, PVC, or PVDE. The pouches are made in the United States and Canada.
Are dcuisine meals complete meals?
Our soups can be served as-is or with a subtle garnish. For our entrées, we recommend making simple additions such as steamed rice or couscous, a tossed salad, or a fresh baguette. Make our meals your own!

Is dcuisine a diet?
The ‘d' in dcuisine stands for delicious and delivered. And yes, it's also part of a healthy diet. We believe indulgent taste doesn't have to be bad for you. Our menus are not part of a regimented eating plan, but we always use real ingredients that are well proportioned. Each meal is portion-controlled and comes with detailed nutritional information. With dcuisine, you can help attain your health goals and be confident that we never use artificial colors or added trans-fats. A bonus? In the three years since Sam began developing dcuisine and thinking about portion control, he's lost over 20 pounds. When you eat real food, you eat guilt free.
